A Job Match Report helps you turn a great candidate into new business. Start with someone you want to place — a strong applicant, a candidate on your bench, or a passive candidate you've sourced — and FactoryFix researches which direct employers near them are currently hiring for roles that fit. Each report comes with short reasons the candidate is a good match, so you have ready-made talking points to market them and open conversations with new clients.
It's built for staffing and recruiting teams who win business by leading with great talent.
(Note: Job Match Reports are available with plans that include FactoryFix Gold.)
When to reach for a Job Match Report
Reach for a Job Match Report whenever you have a candidate worth marketing but not an obvious place to put them. For example:
- You've got a standout candidate and no open role that fits them right now.
- You want to market your best available people — your bench — to drum up new job orders.
- A contractor or past placement is coming available and you want to line up their next move.
- You unlocked a strong passive candidate in Talent Search and want to find out who's hiring for them.
In each case, the report hands you a shortlist of employers to call, anchored to a real, placeable candidate.
Where to start a report
You can start a Job Match Report from a few places.
From Talent Search
- Run a search in the talent pool and review the results.
- Select one or more candidates from the results.
- Use the report button in the results header to open the report dialog.

From Labor Market Reports
You can also open Labor Market Reports and pick Job Match Report from the report-type dropdown (alongside Talent Landscape and Relocation Strategy), then add the candidates you want to market by uploading their resumes (below).
Adding candidates
Confirm your Candidates list, and submit. You can drag and drop one or more resumes directly into the dialog to run reports for people who aren't already in the FactoryFix talent pool.
What you get
- One PDF report per candidate, delivered by email. Reports aren't shown or downloaded in the app.
- Generation can take a while, so you don't have to wait around for it.
- After you submit, you'll get a confirmation with a reference ID. Keep it handy in case you need to follow up with support.
What's in each report
Each report focuses on a single candidate and gives you what you need to start pitching:
- Currently-hiring direct employers near the candidate — your call list.
- Example matching roles that fit the candidate's background.
- Locations for those roles.
- Short, fit reasons that explain why the candidate is a match — ready-made talking points for a call or email.
What it does and doesn't do
A Job Match Report is research delivered to you, and only to you. It does not automatically contact employers or candidates. Nothing is sent on your behalf — you decide who to approach and how.
Looking for market-level data instead — supply, demand, and pay for a role or region? That's a labor market insights report.
