Mark a candidate Do Not Contact

•

When a candidate asks not to be contacted again, or your team decides it's best to end communication, mark them Do Not Contact. The decision applies across every job at your company, so another role or teammate won't restart outreach.

How to Mark a Candidate

  1. On a computer, open the candidate's conversation in Manage Jobs.
  2. Open the three-dot menu in the candidate header and choose Mark Do Not Contact.
  3. Add an optional reason for the rest of your team, then click Mark as Do Not Contact.

What Happens

  • The candidate is rejected from all of your company's current jobs.
  • Your AI recruiters stop screening, contacting, and scheduling interviews with them.
  • Messaging is turned off. Neither AI nor manual messages can be sent to the candidate through FactoryFix.
  • Future applications go straight to Rejected without screening. The candidate isn't notified.
  • The candidate stays flagged wherever they show up, including Conversations, Talent Search, and the Candidate Archive, and Add to job is turned off for them. The conversation shows who marked them and when.

Their conversation history and profile stay available to your team.

What It Doesn't Do

  • It doesn't stop the candidate from applying through external job boards or your ATS. Those applications are rejected automatically in FactoryFix.
  • It doesn't change records in your ATS.
  • It only applies to your company.

Allowing Contact Again

Click Undo on the Do Not Contact banner in the candidate's conversation, on a computer or your phone, then confirm Allow contact again. Your AI recruiters can screen, contact, and schedule interviews with the candidate again, and future applications are no longer rejected automatically. Applications that were already rejected stay rejected.
