Understand the candidate experience

Creating a positive and professional candidate experience is crucial for attracting top talent. This guide explains what a candidate sees and experiences when they interact with your company through the FactoryFix platform.

Seamless, White-Labeled Communication

The most important thing to know is that the entire experience is white-labeled. All messages sent by your team or your AI recruiters appear to come directly from your company. Candidates will see your company's name and the name you've assigned to your AI recruiter (e.g., "Sarah"). They do not see the FactoryFix brand, which creates a seamless and direct line of communication.

Initial Contact via SMS and Email

Whether a candidate applies to a job posting or is contacted through passive outreach, the initial communication is delivered via both SMS text message and email. This multi-channel approach is designed to meet candidates where they are most responsive. Manufacturing candidates are far more likely to see and respond to a text message quickly.

The Screening Conversation

The candidate's screening experience depends on the "Interview Style" you selected for the job:

  • If you chose "Interview and dig deeper" (Dynamic Screening): The candidate will have a natural, adaptive conversation with your AI recruiter via text/email. The AI recruiter will ask relevant questions based on their resume and responses, much like a human phone screen.
  • If you chose "Stick to set questions" (Classic Screening): The candidate will be asked the exact same list of preset questions you defined, ensuring a consistent experience for every applicant.

In both cases, your AI recruiters are trained to be professional, stay on topic, and avoid asking illegal or inappropriate questions.

Why You Can't "Simulate" the Full Experience

Because candidates can enter your pipeline from dozens of different sources (e.g., an application on Indeed, a direct text from passive outreach), there is no single "apply flow" that can be simulated.

The best way to understand the interaction is to review the Conversation Tab in any candidate's profile. This provides the complete and accurate transcript of all messages exchanged between the candidate and your company for that specific job, giving you a clear window into their experience.
